Set up in 2006, ‘’String Tong’’ is the result of an original idea, of its inventor, Cédric Cador, actively involved in the shoe business for several years, and, always in search of the ‘’perfect fit’’ for all his designs.

Especially ‘’Zori’’ style flip flops, which don’t hold on to the foot, and, are often uncomfortable !


Ideally, the straps should be adjustable, so it could adapt to all feet… A unique and attractive concept which could bring comfort and originality! After a few month, and several trials, the String Tong ‘’Classic’’ was born!

The first appearance of ‘’String Tong’’ happens in September, in Paris, at the most notorious fashion event, and very famous Who’s Next, Then in Milan at the international shoe trade show, The Micam.

The immediate success set the brand in the French and European market. Over 100 000 pairs will be sold this first year! In 2008, String Tong confirm the craze and add a new style to the collection, the ‘’Slides’’, self-adjustable, and embellished with jewel and stones.
